Nottinghamshire rural routes

This A5 booklet contains eight circular walks with OS maps on removable pages. Lasting between 3-6 hours (6-9 miles) each the walks are around Sherwood Forest, Creswell Crags, Teversal and Huthwaite, Newstead, Hickling, Southwell, Rufford and Vicar Water, Clipstone. All walks are on easy to moderate terrain and there's further information on parking and public transport, stiles, refreshments and public toilets.

The booklet retails at £2 including eight circular walks. Contact the Nottingham tourism centre on 08444 77 5678 to arrange payment either by cheque or credit card. 

In the footsteps of Robin Hood

Follow in the footsteps of Robin Hood and get the low down on what life was really like for an outlaw in Sherwood Forest. The trail takes you around 12 sites in Nottinghamshire relating to the legend of Robin Hood and tells his story. This pack contains a CD telling the stories and more about the attractions together with an interactive challenge map of how to navigate the trail.

Freewheels: Adventure pine route

A cycle route through the heart of Robin Hood country taking in Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve, past King's Clipstone and into Sherwood Pines Forest Park returning on a circular route. The route is approximately 20 miles long and although it can be done in a few hours, the leaflet suggests points of interest and nearby attractions for a whole day of activities as part of your short break or visit.
