Farm Stay

Do you enjoy fresh air, excellent views and unique hospitality? Experiencing a Farm Stay could be just what you’re looking for...

In 1982, nine farmer's wives were inspired to start offering farm based accommodation in Nottinghamshire, and the 'Farm Stay Nottinghamshire' group was formed.

Why don’t you come and discover the best farmhouse bed and breakfasts and self catering holiday cottages in Nottinghamshire and Sherwood Forest?  There’s something for everyone - stately homes, market towns, forest walks, fantastic shopping and of course, Robin Hood.

The Farm Stay experience

The group's members are independent families offering hospitality to visitors in either:

  • a farmhouse as bed and breakfast (with or without an evening meal)
  • or self-catering in cottages, converted farm buildings, camping barns or caravans & campsites

Simply put, the Farm Stay experience is one where agricultural families open their doors to properties of character and quality located in beautiful rural settings. All accommodation is situated on a working farm and members have to be inspected and graded in accord with either the AA or VisitBritain quality schemes.

Perfect for country breaks or longer stays, the farms provide serviced and self-catering accommodation to high standards - not only for tourists and holiday makers, but also business people wishing to combine a working trip with the comforts and relaxation of a country home.

So why not take up the Farm Stay invitation?

Enjoy fresh air, fine views, real home cooking and the sense of well-being that only a stay in the country can bring.
