Wedding Event at Nottingham Castle - 12 April, 11am until 4pm
Couples may soon have the chance to get married in the majestic surroundings of Nottingham Castle.
And they can get a feel for the heritage site as a wedding venue when it holds its first wedding fair for over 25 years this weekend. The free wedding fair will be held on Sunday 12 April from 11am until 4pm.
The event marks the announcement that the site has recently applied for a licence to host wedding ceremonies. Subject to approval (decision expected in June), weddings will be allowed to take place in The Castle Bastion, ideal for small intimate ceremonies, as well as a number of magnificent rooms in the main museum (including the Long Gallery) and the Castle Bandstand in the wonderful gardens.
Nottingham Castle staff will be available at the show to give bridal couples a tour of the rooms and to discuss the facilities available for their wedding day.
