The Big Bake brought to you by The Great Food & Drink Festival
Newstead Abbey Park
Saturday 26 - Bank Holiday Monday 28 August 2017
For the third year running, we will be attending Newstead Abbey for the Great Food and Drink Festival! Last year was a huge success and we want to make sure that 2017 is just as good, if not better!
This years event is a 'Big Bake' event, where we aim to inspire people from all generations to start, or continue, baking! We have some fantastic celebrity bakers lined-up, so make sure you come here to find out all the latest news first!
We are delighted to announce that Candice Brown current Great British Bake Off Champion will be joining us for the 'Big Bake' on Saturday 26 August
Rosemary Shrager will be attending the event on Sunday 27 August - she will be doing three cooking demonstrations, so make sure you are there to learn some tips from one of the best in the business.
Food writer and chef Gizzi Erskine is one of the most talked about names in food right now and she’ll be coming along to the 'Big Bake' on Monday 28 August, where you’ll be able to catch her doing 3 cooking demos
So far we have a double decker bus bar, that will sit proudly on the lawns of Newstead Abbey, where you will be able to get a selection of great alcholic beverages from. Greene King will also be in attendance for the second year running, providing you with a fantastic real ale bar.
Entertainment runs through out the day everyday with live music from 10am - 4pm
Children's entertainment is provided by the Bongo Bongo team and the fabulous Punch and Judy will be showing daily over the three days
Come try your hand at some of the baking and Master Classes that are running each day.
£8.80 (Advance) or £10 (on the door). Under 10s FREE with full paying adults.
*Admission covers full access to show, grounds, house (normally £7) and parking (normally £6)
Don't forget that at Newstead Abbey, dogs ARE more than welcome to come along, as long as they remain on their lead!
