To mark St George's Day the grand parade, organised by The Royal Society of St. George, will process from the Forest Recreation Ground, down Mansfield Road and arrive in the Old Market Square for 12.30pm.
The parade will feature St George and the Dragon, costumed characters, marching bands and members of The Royal Society of St George.
From 11.30am to entertain you, while you await the arrival of the procession, there will be a variety of traditional English music and dance performers including the Keith Kendrick Band, the Ripley Green Garters Ladies Dance Team and the Belzebub Band. Performances end 2pm.
Once again, the gigantic St George's Day flag will be proudly displayed in front of the Council House.
