Celebrate the Olympics in Nottingham this weekend and watch the live action unfold on a giant Big Screen!
People across Nottingham can come together and watch the Olympics live on a giant Big Screen which will be based at the Victoria Embankment during the Riverside Festival from Friday 3 - Sunday 5 August.
The screen will be in place from the evening of Friday 3, all day Saturday 4 and until 6pm on Sunday 5 August in the Sports Zone area of the Festival Site.
The screen will then be moved to the Old Market Square on Sunday 5 August from 7pm which will allow people to watch the climax of one of the main Olympic events - the Men's 100m final.
The screen will be at the water feature end of Old Market Square, with a perfect viewing area from the E.ON Nottingham Riviera. Live coverage of the Olympics will be shown which includes the Men's 3000m final, Men's 1500m semi-final and the Men's 100m final at 9.50pm
Councillor Jon Collins, Nottingham City Council's Leader, says: "Olympic fever is gripping the nation. A big screen in Old Market Square this weekend gives those enjoying the city centre an opportunity to watch one of the most exciting Olympic events - the Men's 100m final. The Square is being enjoyed by many people on the beach, and the big screen will provide yet more entertainment."
