It’s Madness at Newark Festival! From 14th-16th June come and enjoy a fantastic weekend of entertainment at Newark’s Riverside Park. Come and soak up the atmosphere whilst savouring some food and drink from local producers around the historic town of Newark.

Spend the weekend in action packed Newark enjoying street entertainers, seeing such sights as Peppa Pig and a Spitfire fly-past. The crescendo of this event will be Madness headlining on Saturday evening performing their classic hits along with material from their new album. The 2013 Newark Festival looks to be a great weekend for all.

Friday 14th June Wine and Beer Evening with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers - Riverside Park
Start your weekend with a rousing performance from the unique Red Hot Chilli Pipers – who will be showcasing their blend of rock and bag pipes. This free concert will be held at the beautiful Riverside Park for all to enjoy. The evening will also featuring the Ethnic German Bavarian Stompers and local bands - A line up like no other!

Saturday 15th June Food Market - Market Place
Following on from the success of previous food and drink festivals in the town, Newark Festival 2013 wants to expose the fine produce available from the local area. Saturday will see the market place hum with a variety of stalls selling and promoting the very best of local food and drink.

Madness - Riverside Park
Madness in Newark – that’s right, British legends, Madness will be performing LIVE as part of their 2013 'Oui, Oui, Si, Si, Ja, Ja, Da, Da' Tour in front of the beautifully lit castle. The band will be performing their classic hits along with some of their latest material in their lively style. An evening not to be missed!

Sunday 16th June Newark Carnival and Family Fun Day
A great day for all ages including the Newark Carnival who will begin at the Market Place before making their way to the Riverside Park where people can come along and enjoy family activities including face painting, parachute games, story telling, as well as children’s favourite The Horrible Histories crew not to mention an appearance from the one and only Peppa Pig!! Brass Explosion and Spitfire flypast
Want to see the famous Spitfire plane darting across the sky’s of Newark, then come and celebrate this amazing flying machine with us! Traditional tunes from a full brass band will also be playing to the crowds throughout the day. A real traditional event for all to enjoy! This amazing weekend will be drawn to a close with a spectacular firework display. Newark Festival 2013 will definitely go with a BANG!
