Thoresby Gallery kicks off the New Year with an exquisite exhibition by two artists, Kumi Middleton and Seth Marshall.
Marshall's smaill oil paintings let you into his intimate world of everyday pleasures, a cup of coffee, playing the guitar or walking along the beach in Penzance where he lives and works.
Middleton "upcycles" unloved materials from her family and kimonos from second hand shops in Japan, giving them new life, painting with embroidery, machine stitching and starching.
Spend a peaceful hour contemplating these calm and uplifting paintings and embroideries to set the tone for 2012.
