Heritage Open Days - Behind the Scenes at the Palace Theatre
Palace Theatre, Newark
Sunday 10th September 2017
10am - 4pm

The Palace Theatre Newark was built by local business woman Emily Blagg and opened in 1920. Over the last 97 years many well known actors and entertainers have been on the stage. Balderton born Sir Donald Wolfit played Shakespearean roles here and the annual pantomime attracts TV stars to the stage.

Now you have the chance to visit the backstage areas and stand on the stage in the same place as those performers who make the theatre such an entertaining place to visit. Discover the history of the building, tread the boards and learn some of the tricks of the trade from our team of technical experts.
