Great Notts Show
Tel: +44(0)115 9472768
Friday 13 - Sunday 15 June 2014
FREE TO ATTEND
Great Notts Show Returns in June 2014 - and this year the show will be taken to a whole new level.
Do you love food? Want to know where it has come from? Who has made it? Grown it? We are all taking more interest in where our food comes from and how it is made - this show celebrates that love and interest in food and crafts.
Last year saw over 100,000 people descend on the show which had an amazing array of food, drink, live music and arts mixed some an amazing selection of local artisan crafts and arts.
There will be 50 stalls within Old Market Square, one of which features Famous Nottingham Butcher Johnny Pusztai. At his stall you can expect to see competitions and challenges throughout the weekend. Johnny will also be taking part in some of the kitchen demos along with a variety of other skilled chefs.
The food draws its influences from all over the world. You will find Thai, Greek, Mexican, Italian, Indian, Caribbean and much, much more. The show will also be joined by many vendors selling the sweeter things in life; Simply Cakes can be found in front of the Council House for an energy boost. There will also be Fudge Glorious Fudge in this year’s only pink tent!
The event doesn't just cover the Market Square, we will also have over 30 stalls covering a range of, arts, crafts and retail found on Smithy Row and Long Row. Here you will find a dedicated section for tourism in Nottingham, this will feature the Nottingham Castle, Wollaton Park, Galleries of Justice, The Caves... oh and Robin Hood!
There will also be other exciting competitions and events going on including Rock and Roll Bingo on Saturday night with Mecca Bingo.
As well as all this we have Flipside Brewery coming to keep the crowds jolly and they will have a full working bar as well as a heated and well-lit outdoor beer garden to relax in after you have tasted the delights of the market.
We will also again be joined by popular Hockley coffee shop Hartley's for a variety of milkshakes, ice creams and food.
The event will be raising money for Help a Nottinghamshire Child and Macmillan Cancer Support, last year they raised over £2k for The Children Air Ambulance.
