FREE New Year's Eve 2016 Celebrations at Nottingham Castle

Saturday 31 December 2016 from 8pm

Nottingham City Council will hold a FREE New Years Eve Celebration & Fireworks Displays in the grounds of Nottingham Castle which will open to the public at 8pm.

The Gatehouse area will feature Fire Jugglers/performers who will provide incidental activities 8pm onwards and The Rockery will be illuminated with coloured lights to add to the experience.

The Bandstand will feature music from 8pm - 11:50pm:

The Half Eight from 8.10pm to 9.10pm

Energetic Pop/Rock – catchy melodies, soaring harmonies and punchy rocky guitar

Ready Steady 60s from 9.50pm to 11.50pm (including interval)

From Merseybeat to Carnaby Street – reproducing the iconic sounds of the 60s

The children's fireworks display starts at 9.15pm and will be set to a superhero-themed musical soundtrack designed for a younger audience.

The main fireworks display will take place at midnight and will be accompanied by a spectacular soundtrack including popular chart hits and special effects - the perfect way to see in the New Year.

The event will include Food Stalls and Bars (Bars close at midnight) on the path towards the bandstand.

The event has a limited capacity of 2,500, so visitors will be admitted to the Castle grounds via the Gatehouse on a first come first served basis, one in one out. Those unable to attend this event will still be able to enjoy the fireworks display which will be visible across the city.
