In 1913 D.H. Lawrence wrote Sons and Lovers, a novel which today is still considered to be one of the top 100 books of all time. In its Centenary year the 10th annual D.H. Lawrence Festival will pay homage to Lawrence’s novel, along with a varied programme of events to celebrate one of Nottinghamshire’s greatest treasures.
Set in and around Lawrence’s birthplace of Eastwood, Nottinghamshire, the 2013 Festival will include lectures; guided walks; film screenings; specialist museum tours; National Heritage Open Days; reading groups; exhibitions, drama and music. Join us to discover more about the life and works of this extraordinary writer - one of the most controversial novelists of the 20th century.
