Ghosts and Ghouls Trail

Nottinghamshire has a long and turbulent history, and is known for its many haunted and ghostly experiences. From venturing into ancient dungeons at the Galleries of Justice Museum, to exploring underground caves and visiting some of England’s oldest pubs, there’s plenty on offer to make the hairs on your neck stand on end.

Wollaton Hall has been a place for paranormal activity and Newstead Abbey, the former home of the poet Lord Byron is said to be haunted by the black friar.

Explore our Ghosts and Ghouls Trail to find out more about resident ghosts and haunted happenings. Or join one of the experts on a guided walking tour of the city, such as the Nottingham Ghost Walk, or the Guts and Gore Tour, to really bring the grisly tales of Nottingham to life.
