St Mary's Church, Edwinstowe

Set in the heart of Sherwood Forest, Edwinstowe takes its name from King Edwin's final resting place after he was killed at the Battle of Hatfield Chase. Legend has it that Robin Hood married Maid Marian at St Mary's Church here.

The high street is host to a selection of coffee shops and local produce providers as well as the odd restaurant and pub thrown in. You'll also find Sherwood Forest Art and Craft Centre by the cricket pitch with a path leading to the visitor centre and the famous Major Oak.
