Adventure Sports

Nottinghamshire a great home for the adrenaline junkie

It all started with Robin Hood and his adventures galloping through Sherwood Forest on the back of his horse.

Modern day Robin now rides an all-terrain quad bike and swings through the tree tops on high ropes courses.

Looking for more thrills? Then take to one of the UK’s largest indoor karting circuits or how about hitting the mud, racing off road buggies?

Want to wash that mud off? Then the extreme way is to blast down the rapids White Water Rafting. Whatever gives you your adventure kicks, you can get it here in Nottinghamshire!

Experience the legendary Robin Hood country with a high wire forest adventure course which takes you over 30 zip slides, scramble nets and rope bridges. Venture to Sherwood Pines and you'll find a Go Ape activity that's one of the best and most popular in the country.

If you fancy trying something a little different, within Sherwood Forest you can try your hand at mud buggies, 4x4 driving, assault courses, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, paintball, team building events and of course archery in the home of Robin Hood. The Adrenalin Jungle located is an excellent option in this area.

Alternatively, why not try the hair-raising championship indoor karting circuit, twin off road buggy tracks, quad bike safari trails and paintball with the One4All Group, just 15 minutes from Nottingham City Centre in the Vale of Belvoir.

And if all this wasn't enough, visit the National Water Sports Centre for white water rafting, canoeing or kayaking and some thrilling activities. Here you can also stay overnight at either their campsite or budget hotel/hostel, making it a great place for youth groups.
