Seasonal Nottinghamshire

From annual world class festivals and events to winter breaks and New Year's Eve celebrations, our calendar is packed with seasonal events taking place throughout the city and county.

The first signs of spring in Nottinghamshire can be seen when the snowdrops bloom at Hodsock Priory.

Start the summer season with outdoor film and theatre taking place at various locations. Throughout the summer, you can look forward to a variety of events including the Robin Hood Festival at Sherwood Forest, the Riverside Festival at the Victoria Embankment in Nottingham, Waterfront Festival at The Canal House and the Splendour music festival at Wollaton Park. You can also celebrate one of the UK’s most controversial authors with a variety of events in and around his hometown of Eastwood during The D.H. Lawrence Festival of Culture, or learn more about Lord Byron at the International Byron Festival. And if you're a real book enthusiast you may like the Nottingham Festival of Literature taking place in the heart of Nottingham.

And the fun doesn't stop when the nights draw in. Wrap up warm and enjoy October Festival City events, the Robin Hood Beer Festival at Nottingham Castle, as well as Goose Fair, GameCity and the Robin Hood Pageant. Get the Christmas feeling at Nottingham's Winter Wonderland.
