Father's Day in Nottingham

Treat your Dad to a bit of Nottinghamshire this Father’s Day, Sunday 18th June. From Sunday lunch and special tours at Navigation Brewery, Bushtucker Trials at the Tropical Butterfly House and tempting special offers at Nottinghamshire attractions, there are plenty of ways to let your Dad know how much he means to you.

Treat Dad and yourself...

If your Dad is a food lover, be sure to treat him to one of the many dining experiences on offer this Father’s Day. The exquisite Bistroit Pierre are offering a succulent steak lunch for dads with a special Father's Day Menu. Spice up the day at Las Iguanas and wash down your food with a free bottle of Brahma Beer. Another free pint for your dad can be snapped up if you book a delicious three course meal at Oscars Bar & Restaurant, or go the whole shebang with a tour of Trent Navigation Brewery and Sunday lunch for just £20 per person!

Visit popular attractions...

Head in and around Newark and you will have a selection of activities to do with Dad. Newark Air Museum's annual Cockpit Fest event takes place on the weekend of Father's Day and is the perfect day out for any keen aviation enthusiasts. The Tropical Butterfly House wants you to test your dads taste pallet with a Bushtucker Challenge of chocolate grubs and sweets with nasty or nice fillings. If your pa is into his vintage motors, why not visit the Classic Car and Motorcycle Show at Clumber Park on 18th June? Finally for music loving dads the Newark Festival might be just the ticket, with performances from UB40, The Original Wailers and Level 42, and a free family fun day on Sunday 18th June.

Get active and experience the great outdoors...

If you want to explore the great outdoors with Dad, then there are plenty of opportunities across the county. Celebrate National Bike Week with a cycling trip through Sherwood Forest, Clumber Park and the Holme Pierrepont Country Park, home of the National Water Sports Centre, comes highly recommended with many cycling trails on offer depending on your level of cycling experience. If you prefer to explore the great outdoors on foot, why not meander around the lake and gorge at Creswell Crags or stroll amid the deer at Wollaton Hall and Deer Park and sit back with a spot of lunch on a picnic blanket? And, for all of those adrenalin seekers, get close to nature and enjoy monkeying around in the trees at Go Ape or experience the very best in outdoor entertainment at the Adrenalin Jungle.

The FREE admission to some of the above attractions lets you take care of Dad without extra damage to your pocket!
