Robin Hood's Nottingham

Nottingham, as well as Sherwood Forest, lies at the heart of the Robin Hood legend. In what is now a cosmopolitan major UK city, you'll also find places and events that are associated with the medieval tales and ballards.

Alongside Nottingham Castle, there's a whole whost of venues that appear in the original stories that you can explore on your way around the city.

- Robin Hood Pageant
  
  The main city event for Robin Hood which takes place at Nottingham Castle every October. See the site come alive with jousting, medieval stalls and more.
- Shire Hall
  
  Shire Hall was where the Sheriff of Nottingham distributed law and order. Now the Galleries of Justice Museum this place has an excellent story to tell.
- St Mary's Church
  
  Dating back to the original tales, St mary's Church is set in the Lace Market only a stones throw from Shire Hall.
- The Sheriff of Nottingham
  
  Robin Hood's arch enemy and we take a look at the role of the sheriff right up to the present day - yes there's currently one in post!
- Nottingham Castle
  
  The legendary location for Robin Hood's nemisis the Sheriff of Nottingham. The site has an intriguing history.
- Robin Hood Tours
  
  This brand new event takes visitors on a tour around the city by our resident Robin Hood. Discover places relating to the original tales and much more.
