Focus Gallery began in 1971 with Norman Roland at the helm.
Since then Focus has continued to grow and thrive and establish itself as Nottinghams most respected and well known place for beautiful and unusual art and crafts.
In 2004 Lorraine and Angelo Murphy became the owners of Focus Gallery and took the opportunity to take the gallery onto the next level, by introducing a wealth of fresh talent, whilst continuing to showcase long term exhibitors and makers whose reputation and talents continue to be admired and in demand.
In December 2014 Antonia Disney became the new owner and has a jewellery and gallery background which she brings with her along with new ideas to take the Focus Gallery into the next ten years and more. Antonia is the fourth owner in nearly 44 years which goes to show how much it is loved by both the owners and the public.
The customer service is always warm and friendly at Focus Gallery and we want our customers to relax and enjoy the environment without feeling pressured to purchase. We see the gallery as a great place to find inspiration, discover British Arts and Crafts at it's finest and discover the wealth of valuable techniques used in the UK to create these wonderful pieces of art.
Most of our Nottingham born customers have grown up with Focus Gallery being a favorite destination for themselves or their parents and we see Focus as one of Nottinghams most important creative landmarks.
It's not often you can go to a place where you have emotional value through memories of buying your first piece of art, craft or even a wedding ring! We see the future of Focus continuing to blossom thanks to the support of our loyal customers and artists and a new wave of custom discovering Focus for the first time. We know it will not be their last!"
Focus Gallery houses onsite jewellers for bespoke services and also runs workshops throughout the year.
