Derby Road, just outside Nottingham city centre, is a good place to browse for antiques and collectables. Acanthus Antiques and Le Chien Et Moi are all good bets. For antique silver and jewellery, Melville Kemp is the place to go.
And Newark...
Over the years, the town has become famous for its six annual antiques fairs, held at Newark County Showground. Thousands of antique hunters from across the world descend upon the fair’s 4,000 stalls in search of a bargain. Within the town itself, Newark has numerous antiques shops that are worth a browse – including Newark Antiques Centre (Lombard St) and Pearman Antiques (Castle Gate).

Newark International Antiques and Collectors Fair
With up to 2,500 stallholders the fair is the largest in Europe and has to be experienced to be believed. Besides the hundreds of pitchs outside there are 10 buildings, 150 shopping arcades and over 30 private marquees so you can be sure of finding a wealth of quality antiques all year round.
Antique Shops
Alternatively, you could browse the streets of Nottingham and Newark looking at the many antiques shops that we have to offer. Located in the Canning Circus area of the city Le Chien et Moi is a treasure trove of collectables. You’ll certainly discover that quality can be found in quantity within the County of Nottinghamshire. A shop that is well worth a visit is the Grand Historical Bazaar, which you'll find at Rufford Abbey Country Park.
The County really is the perfect place to shop, along with having plenty of other things to do to keep you entertained.
