Outstanding Performances

Somewhere in the city on any night of the week, you’ll find live music being played. Nottingham is packed with great venues and has a thriving music scene of up and coming local bands.

From big laughs to high drama

For the best in comedy Just the Tonic Comedy Club has been tickling Nottingham audiences’ ribs for 16 years, while the big name comedians can fill the Capital FM Arena several times over. If you want to take the kids to the theatre or enjoy a gripping drama then Nottinghamshire’s many theatres will have something to inspire and entertain you.

Great live music venues

Great venues for enjoying gigs from classic artists to the next big thing.

Capital FM Arena

The Arena has seen audiences of up to 10,000 for world class acts as diverse as Rihanna and Metallica.  It is now a firm favourite on high profile music and comedy tours.

Royal Concert Hall

Pop, rock, comedy, classical, ballet, opera - the Royal Concert Hall has played host to a wide range of talent over the years.

Albert Hall

For classical music buffs the Albert Hall often resonates with the massed voices of choirs and rich sound of orchestras.

Rock City

Now in its 31st year Rock City is a nationally renowned venue with previous gigs including the likes of Guns N' Roses and Nirvana.  Good enough to pull in the big names while still being small enoug to put you close to the action.

The Bodega Social

A small venue with big ideas, you may not always recognise the names on the bill but chances are you'll hear from them again.  The White Stripes and The Strokes played their first Nottingham gigs here and now sell out at the Arena!
