New Year's Eve

Nottingham New Year's Eve 2016.

Watching the fireworks above our wonderful Castle is one of the most popular ways to ring in the New Year in Nottingham - and like last year visitors will be able to start the year inside the castle grounds.

There will be live entertainment as well as a spectacular fireworks display above the castle, providing a show-stopping finale to your night of celebrations.

The event at Nottingham Castle is just one of many New Year’s Eve celebrations taking place across the county. Full listings are available below but here is a bit of inspiration to get your started.

Out for dinner: Across the region our restaurants and boutique hotels will be helping you celebrate in style with a night of dinner, live music and dancing. At the Hart’s New Year’s Eve Celebration you can enjoy dinner and champagne along with entertainment from host and performer Just Ben and magician Roy Bond, while at Ramada Hotel Nottingham there will be food, entertainment and a glazz of fizz to toast the New Year.

If you want to escape the cold weather then head to one of Nottinghamshire's cosy pubs. At The Rum House you can explore their extensive cocktail menu and dance the night away to music by the local DJ Pete Bradley, while Veeno will be hosting live music alongside platters of spuntini served throughout the evening.

Enjoy the celebrations at the New Year's Eve Rehearsal parties which take place at The Riverbank and Tom Brown's Brasserie. During the evening you can enjoy a three-course dinner along with live music so make sure you book your place soon.

A Little Night Music: Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall will be filled with the sounds of the Sinfonia Viva with Sheku Kanneh-Mason. The programme for the Gala Concert has been inspired by the work of William Shakespeare and is likely to be the final event worldwide to mark the 400th anniversary of his death.
