The Separatist Inn

The Separatist Inn is located in the small Bassetlaw village of Torworth situated on the main Great North Road between Bawtry and Retford.

Formally the Huntsman Inn, it has been fully transformed into a new 90 cover Gastro Pub and Restaurant. With 6 luxury en suite rooms now open and available to book. The rooms are all themed and named after famous descendants of the Pilgrim Fathers. So we have the Eastman, Eastwood, Hepburn, Monroe, Gere and Roosevelt rooms.

The Separatist Kitchens are headed up by New Head Chef Billy Frost. Billy has moved from our sister restaurant Caviars in Bawtry. He also held the Head Chef position at The White Swan in Blyth and The Charnwood Hotel.

The Separatist Inn is Open seven days a week for both lunch and dinner offering a great variety of popular dishes to cater for all tastes. We have our lunchtime special offer of 2 Courses for only £12 or 3 for £15 which runs Monday - Saturday 12-3 pm.

If you just fancy a nice quiet drink then you can pop into our lounge bar that is open everyday from 12 midday until close. We serve a good variety of draught beers and lagers along with some nice local bottled beers. If you fancy something different we do a nice range of tasty Cocktails as well as having a high quality selection of wines.

Our Beer Garden and Outside Dining Area is the perfect place to relax, dine and drink while enjoying the decent weather.

The decor features references to the Mayflower Pilgrims who included William Bradford from Austerfield who set sail aboard The Mayflower in 1620 to seek religious freedom in the New World, eventually becoming the Governor of Plymouth Colony in Massachusetts, and William Brewster of nearby Scrooby.
