The Ned Ludd
Tel: 01159 484 221
The Ned Ludd is the latest great bar and restaurant from Great Northern Inns showcasing fine craft beers, real ales and real ciders paired with a stunning, locally sourced, artisan food.
The Luddites knew a thing or two about mass-produced stuff of inferior quality, they didn’t like it and neither do we.
The bar has 14 craft beers and real ales on draught and more in bottles so there’s plenty to chose from- craft ales will include some exclusive to the bar and the cask ales will come from Navigation Brewery and other local breweries. There are no factory made beers on Ned’s bar, customers will be guided to something to enjoy both as a drink and as a new experience. Lager drinkers should love the award-winning lager from the Camden Town Brewery and craft beer drinkers will get a treat with beers being sourced from all over the world.
The menu concentrates on high quality, locally sourced artisan food, done simply but using imagination with beer or wine matched to each dish. Every day starts at 8am (except Sundays at 9am) with a full breakfast menu followed up by small plate dishes, sharing platters, sliders and large dish selections with something for everyone.
Enjoy the new taste of Nottinghamshire, the Bramley Apple Martini
Experience Nottinghamshire is delighted that a cocktail inspired by its county was been chosen by VisitEngland to celebrate English Tourism Week (29th March – 6th April 2014). The Bramley Apple Martini was created by the Ned Ludd especially for the annual celebration and helps tell the story of Nottinghamshire.
The world-renowned Bramley Apple was first grown in the Nottinghamshire town of Southwell and it forms the basis of the cocktail. The Bramley Apple Martini contains juice and puree from local producer John Starkey, whose family has grown the fruit on the Norwood Park estate, Nottinghamshire, for almost a century.
