Nottingham Playhouse has been one of the UK’s leading producing theatres since its foundation in 1948. It welcomes over 110,000 customers through its doors each year and creates productions large and small from timeless classics and enthralling family shows to adventurous new commissions, often touring work nationally and internationally.
Notable productions include 1984 – three runs in the West End and currently on tour in Australia; Any Means Necessary, a new play about undercover policing; Tony’s Last Tape which toured nationally this year; and a revival of Touched in 2017, starring BAFTA-winning actress Vicky McClure and Aisling Loftus.
Visiting dance, comedy and theatre complete the bill and the Playhouse's listed 1963 building is a drama in itself, enhanced by Anish Kapoor's stunning Sky Mirror.
Nottingham Playhouse also offers a superb conference venue. With an auditorium seating over 700 and a meeting room for up to 50 both fully equipped with modern facilities it's the perfect place to inject some creativity into your business.
Tickets for shows at the Nottingham Playhouse are available from our Tourist Information Centre on Smithy Row, just off the Market Square by either popping in or by calling 08444 77 56 78.
