Spectacular Elizabethan Mansion and Deer Park set in the beautiful suburbs of Nottingham

Wollaton Hall is was designed by Robert Smythson and built by Sir Francis Willoughby between 1580 and 1588 for his family. Now a prominent Grade One listed building, the stunning Hall houses the city's Natural History Museum along with reconstructed room settings.

Standing on a natural hill three miles west of Nottingham City Centre, Wollaton Hall is set in five hundred acres of spectacular gardens and parkland.

Things to see and do

On site, in addition to the historic hall and its sumptuous grounds, visitors will find Nottingham's Natural History Museum, Nottingham's Industrial Museum (open the last Sunday of each month for Sunday Steamings) and the Yard Gallery (open for special events – please enquire for more details).

On the last Sunday of every month visitors can also take a segway tour of the park.

Opening Times

Hall & Museum - Open daily
April to October, 11am - 5pm (last entry 4.30pm)
November to March - 11am - 4pm (last entry 3.30pm)

Park - Open daily (except 24-26 December and 1 January). 
Park opening times vary depending on the season, check the Wollaton Park website for details

Admission free, charges apply for guided tours and special events. Car parking £2 for up to 3 hours and £4 for the whole day.
