St Peters is home to the largest single work of art in the East of England. The Traquair Murals created by Scottish artist Phoebe Anna Traquair (1852-1936) cover all four walls within the church and are visually spectacular.

The historic village of Clayworth lies along a stretch of the Roman road from Lincoln to Doncaster along the Chesterfield canal. St.Peters is recognised as one of Nottinghamshires finest churches and visitors are invited to explore the churchs architectural heritage ? dating back to pre-Conquest and Saxon times, as well as the ornate painted ceilings and stained-glass windows.
