The Blue Line Trail

Many references of the influences on DH Lawrence have remained and thanks to a vast study of his life and work, there are several reference points in his humble origins at Eastwood.

Taking the Blue Line Trail is the best way to discover the influences on Lawrence, you can download a PDF of the trail for free or use the embedded trail below to discover more.

As you walk around the town you will be quickly introduced to the former homes of the Lawrence family including the DH Lawrence Birthplace Museum which is carefully restored in its Victorian setting.

Included on the trail are the Mechanics Institute where Lawrence would borrow books together with the Congregational Chapel and British School where the writer taught.
