If camping is more your scene, you’re always welcome at the Clumber Park campsite, with easy access to many cycling trails within a short ride and the option to hire bicycles. If you’re a an off-road enthusiast, or want to take the high road, Nottinghamshire has a wide variety of trails for all weathers and needs.
Nearby, at Clumber Park Hotel and Spa, you can hire a bike and explore the nearby trails. If you bring your own wheels there is also a shed to secure it. With lock-up facilities, early breakfasts and packed lunches, Ye Olde Bell near Retford is also perfect for cyclists.
If you would prefer to see more of the southern half of the county, the Holme Pierrepont Country Park home to the National Water Sports Centre has its very own 18-acre campsite with on-site facilities including white water experiences. It offers the perfect balance of seclusion and close proximity to the sights of Nottingham.
