We all know that Nottingham is a vibrant city, full of restaurants, bars, cafés and pubs - but at Christmas the city really comes into its own as party season gets underway. Whether you are looking for the perfect venue for your office party or a place where you can catch up with friends and family, we have plenty of inspiration. But hurry - popular Christmas party dates get snapped up quickly in the city.
The cosy surroundings at Le Bistrot Pierre make it the perfect place for a festive occasion. Housed in an elegant building, the restaurant serves warming French dishes and fine wines. The Larder, on Goosegate, offers delicious seasonal food, including wonderful Christmas dishes, while the Riverbank at Trent Bridge also has great food and a stylish function room. Meanwhile, fine dining restaurant Hart's will be hosting Christmas parties throughout the festive season where you can expect prosecco, fabulous food and entertainment.
If you want to catch up with friends, family or colleagues in relaxed surroundings choose The Monkey Tree in West Bridgford. Inside this cosy pub you can tuck into traditional hearty dishes made using local produce or sample the cask ales on offer. Over the festive period there is a three-course set menu available, which includes half a bottle of wine per person.
At Danube Restaurant in Newark you can enjoy warming dishes such as chestnut, parsnip, sweet potato and Port strudel or slowly-braised venison followed by a slice of fruit-filled Stollen.
For something a little bit different - and which is guaranteed to be a talking point with your friends and colleagues - book a party at the Galleries of Justice. Do you dare go along to the Ghosts of Christmas Past Supper, the Victorian Murder Mystery at the Museum or the Christmas Sheriff's Medieval Banquet? Or perhaps you fancy a festive chuckle; if that's the case then book your tickets for one of the Glee Club Christmas Party nights.
You can also enjoy a bit of healthy competition with your group by taking on the Lost City Adventure Golf challenge. Follow the trail - and get ready for talking Inca statues, moving rocks and more. There are a number of Christmas packages available at various prices, with festive drinks and treats available.
Make a break of it and stay overnight

If you are looking for a bit of peace away from the city then retreat to one of our market towns or villages for your Christmas party.
