  • Our vision is that by 2010 you'll open a Sunday supplement and see Nottinghamshire featured alongside the likes of Barcelona, Dublin, Frankfurt, Lyon and Glasgow. Locally and globally, Nottinghamshire will be sharply etched as a destination of choice in the minds of our key audiences - students, investors, tourists and the people and businesses of this remarkable city and county.

Regional capital, great European city, recognised as home to Robin Hood, Sherwood Forest, the Dukeries and outstanding market towns. In realising this vision, we have six fundamental aspirations:

    • to be the catalyst for the emergence of Notts as a premier league conference destination
    • to establish Notts as a primary UK and European short break destination
    • to raise the profile of Notts as a great place in which to invest, work, live, shop, visit and study
    • to position Notts as an events destination
    • to provide the highest quality of visitor experience through progressing the quality and skills agendas and managing the countywide tourism centre network and the associated visitor information points, information kiosks and related infrastructure
    • to become one of the best destination marketing organisations in the world, an organisation that people seek out when they want to see innovation and best practice, as evidenced by the winning of prestigious awards
